When she was just 16, Suzanne Apple Morales, got a job as a fragrance adviser for ‘Lancome’ under L’Oreal. From there, she worked her way to being one of the company’s regional sales managers in the US. After that, she flew to the Philippines when she was promoted as National Sales and Marketing Manager for the Lancome under L’Oreal Philippines. It was a highly lucrative job with a very good pay but Apple decided to quit – she ended her 14 years of service with a reputable global company – why? After taking a bold step and ending her career in L’Oreal, Apple did simultaneous consultancies in the Philippines and in some other countries. She then came up with her first business venture – designing and marketing high-heeled ladies shoes for export.

In addition to that, Apple got a franchise of ActiveFun, a pioneering company offering a children’s playground. She then found herself in the company of children and – with her son. Apple notes that her son would often bring in clients to play in their SM City North Edsa Facility by handing out flyers and inviting other kids to play.

With the aim of serving healthy snacks for kids in ActiveFun, Apple came up with the idea to make soya chips – Soyami soya chips. She did R & D in her own kitchen and did some brainstorming with who else – but with her son who also loves soy. Apple then registered a company under the name AM Global Works Marketing Corp., to manufacture Soyami Soya Chips which has now gained the reputation of being a healthy snack option as they are made of non-genetically modified organism (GMO), and these chips are high in protein, low in sodium, and low in calories. To cater to kids with “curious” taste buds, Soyami comes in three flavors – natural, cheddar, and pizza.

Now to the delight of her son and other kids – Apple and Aiden just recently came up with 11 yummy flavors of delicious soya-based ice cream which has zero dairy, zero cream, zero eggs, and zero cholesterol!
