Going to school soon?
Yana is turning 3 y/o this month and by June this year, I’m thinking of letting her sit in classes in a nearby PreSchool. Well, I really don’t want her to go to school just yet (partly because the school is a bit far from home and I don’t know if I can actually leave her there for a few hours while I stay at home to work and mind the twins) but it seems that she’s excited to start schooling.
A few days ago, I noticed that she was gathering pieces of paper and pens and then she placed everything in her bag (plus a water bottle). She also changed her clothes and put on her shoes. Then, she stood near our front door and called my attention, “Ba-bye Nanay, School na ko” (Bye Mom, I’m going to school). She was so cute.

I would have taken her for a walk to the nearby Preschool – just to let her get a glimpse of the building – but it was already 9pm so I just told her that we can do “school at home” temporarily. I turned on the TV so we could watch their preschool-nursery videos again. I asked her if she really wanted to go to school and she said “Yes” – and then she asked me to buy two things for her – a Galaxy Tablet PC and a mobile phone. She told me that she needs those so she could “text” me (Translation: “Call”) while studying (Translation: “watching educational slideshows/videos”). With that thought, I think I’ll have to postpone that schooling idea for a few years more. LOL
